One of my Facebook friends wrote yesterday, “I was doing a Crossword yesterday, Judith, & above the Crossword it said:- Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President, should on no account be allowed to do the job !!! Very Unique, but true xxx.”
Here is what I wrote back: “A bit too cynical for me. We have in fact had some great presidents. I’m thinking Joe Biden could be one of them if he is able to assemble an administration that does in fact #BuildBackBetter. As a general rule, it is very very hard times when we have seen our great presidents emerge: Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt after the great depression.” So that’s what I’m thinking today. This may very well be a time of great change for the better, a time for an #AmericanRenaissance as we fix what this trauma has revealed that is broken that needs to be healed and put in place the things that we need to meet the challenges of the future, among them climate change.
